This family originally were immigrants to the UK from an unknown part of Ireland. My earliest known ancestors worked in the silk mills in Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK. Later some moved into Lancashire and what was the West Riding of Yorkshire with a fair number of my more direct relatives doing military service during the twentieth century. |
