| I am searching for any history previous to The Rockwell family of Norman origin and in European geneology traces back to Sir Ralph deRockville, a Norman knight of the 10th Century who served King William the Conqueror. I have info on Deacon William Rockwell, born in England 1595. He was one of the 140 families who, together, had organized into a church of which the Reverend Mavereck was the pastor; this group comprised one of the first church-colony groups to settle in Dorchester, Massachusetts. |
