Research is being done on both Mother and Father's ancestry.Father's family is Gale: From:Oklahoma,Ohio and Michigan area:Norville, Jackson,Ashland Ostego, Newaygo.
Father's side so far,My great grandfather Robert Smith Gale (died 1953),1st wife unknown,his 2nd wife Libby Marie(Mary) Lewis,his father's Harrison Gale Vermont The English entered him on the Dawes Roll as Roe(Roy)Gale(still in the proving stages).His mother Margaret Kelley.Robert's sisters, Emma, Meriena and Adda brothers James and Thomas.Possibly 1/2-brother & sister Helen & Harold.Robert's sons and daughters Roy H.,Florence(Flossie Gale)Fought, Marie(Gale)Moore, Ena(Gale)Penny,Ina(Gale)Aldrich, By his 1st wife son Harold lived in Wisconsin and is deceased. My grandmother Luella Jane(Nendorf)Gale. Mother: Luella Butler Nendorf,Cherokee Indian,Otsego Michigan, Father: George Henry Nendorf(possibly Neindorf or Niendorf),Germany.Luella's sisters & brothers were William, Henry, Louisa, and Lena(Sheldon).Luella and Roy H. Sr's sons, Harry L., Roy H. Jr, Ralph L.(MY DAD) This part of Gale family started in Norville, Ashland, Newaygo, Hillsdale and Greyling, Michigan, and from where I remember it in Jackson, Michigan. I was told at one time in Indiana, possibly New York and I was also told the south, mainly Georgia.We are also looking for Roy's first Hildred's(last name unknown) family.
Longstreets play a key role in my family. Earl, Donald, William...They were my great aunts and uncles..
We were also given an original newspaper article from a Gainsville Georgia Paper dated 1909..It stated Mrs. Helen G. Longstreet widow of Late Gen. James Longstreet was awakened to a noise in her home and when she went investigate she found an intruder in her home. She shot at him and believed she hit him..My GrGrandfather all the way down to father and uncles told us if we ever wanted to know about our family and our history it was in that article check it out.
My Mother's family from Zansville Indiana, Illinois, Tipton-Adrian, Michigan area also just recently discovered Ohio and Kentucky:
Mother's family..father Milo Denney.His mother was Elizabeth Jane Bell Denney(1851-1933)Parents of Elizabeth are: Archbold Bell(from N.C.) And Elizabeth Christmore. Milo's father was Father was Rolandis Denney(1848-1917).The parents of Rolandis were Walter Denney (b.Ireland) and we have a discrepancy in the surname of Walter's wife. The grgrandchildren were told her surname was Owens, records show her name as being Mary Ann Young (b. England). The Owens family from Kendleville, Indiana. We have a picture of Grandpa (Milo) Denney's Mother & father, brothers and sisters were Rolandus, Elva, Jessie, Areleva, Sela, Nellie, Lucy, Bessie, Frank.
Grandma:Lida May Mutton. Her father was James Mutton, from England, a stow away right off the boat.Her mother was Emma Jane Richoz, France and moved to Goodwine, Iroquois County,Illinois . Brothers & sisters were: Laura E, Ray, Floyd, Grace, Bessie, Stella, possibly Faye(handwriting not legible). Also a picture of James & Emma Jane Richoz Mutton, father was Fredrick Richoz mother's name Adeline? & their farm in Indiana.
Walter and Mary Ann (Owens) Young Denney started in Wheeling (Ft Henry) West Virgina where Rolandus was born. Then moved north to Jefferson County Ohio, Zanesville,& Ft Wayne Indiana, Goodwine,Iroquois County Illinois. Rolandus then moved back to Ft Wayne where he raised his family.
My grandparents started in Clinton,& Hillsdale, area & settled on a farm in Tipton, Michigan where they raised Forrest, Nellie, James, Ethel, Nellie, Agnes (Peg), Rolandus Vern, Frank J.,Elizabeth Jane (Jan-MY MOM).
