Gallagher Family

I have not progressed very far with my family tree. My father's family originates from Skibbereen Co. Cork. He at present lives in South Wales, where my mother was born.

His name is Joseph James Gallagher, he was born in Upper Bridge Street and had several brothers and sisters. The last one who lived in Skiberreen was John. All are now deceased except my father.

My mother Beatrice Maud and her maiden name was Perdeans or Perdaens. Her father originated from Belgium, but we do not have any further information on his background. Apparently the surname is Belgian. One of her sisters was named after one of his sisters Valentine. Apparently all records were destroyed in the second world war.
