Born in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Mother is Helen Leile Place. Father was Carlson. Mom divored him during her pregnancy with me. She married LeRoy Daniel Gallup in 1938. Roy as he was called worked at Chamberlains in Waterloo, Iowa for years. Then the family moved to a farm South of Fairbank, Buchanan County, Iowa. I graduated from Fairbank High School in 1954. Married Patricia Ann Brasch of Jesup, Iowa in 1956. Spent 22 and one-half years in the Air Force. Retired in 1978. Graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1980. Worked for Honeywell in Clearwater, Florida until I retired in 1997. Since that time my wife and I have been traveling each summer by car. Visiting our children and their families in Texas and Colorado |
