I am trying to find the origins and history of the Loftis family of Yancey and McDowell County, NC. I have been through the census and marriage records in these counties. I have traced back to Reubin Loftis of Virginia. He and wife Reba moved to NC about 1830. Could use some help going back farther.
On the plus side, I have managed to find the Gragg line back to Ireland in the 1700's.
As I find more I will post it. Enjoy.

This tree contains the ancestors of Walter Loftis and Myrtle Wilson, back to around 1800. It has Walter's mother, Eliza Gragg's line back to Ireland in the 1700's.
