My GARDNER family tree is documented back to Samuel & Nancy (Tipton) Gardner. They lived in or near Howard, Centre County, PA. and in 1855 they moved their family to Auburn, Fayette County, IA.
I believe that Samuel Gardner is the son of William Gardner who was a son of John & Nancy (Thornton) Gardner who it is said came from Ireland in 1795 and lived in what is now Perry County, PA and then moved to Centre County, PA about 1800.

Nancy Tipton was the daughter of William & Elizabeth (Shade) Tipton who owned and operated a Hotel in Howard, PA. Nancys sister Jemima married Levi Fuller and they settled in West Union, IA some years before Samuel and Nancy arrived.

I am looking for some way to prove who Samuel Gardners Father was and would appreciate any help I can get. I will also gladly share any info I have that may help others.
