Donald Gardner Washburn -- The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 in the Henne Funeral Home Chapel in Washburn for Donald I. Gardner, 65, Washburn, who died Thursday in Bismarck hospital.
Rev. Austin Engel will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 2 at Makoti Cemetery.
Mr. Gardner was born May 13, 1908, at Hancock, Minn., to Mr. and Mrs. Don G. Gardner. He moved with his parents to Makoti where he was reared. He attended Barrys Telegraph School in Minneapolis. He was married to Coral Johnson at Minot on July 23, 1935. He worked for the Soo Line for over 40 years, serving in Ryder, Cathay, Carrington and New Town before becoming depot agent at Washburn in 1962. He retired last month.
Mr. Gardner was a member of the New Town Masonic Lodge and El Zagel Shrine at Fargo.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Donald of Hubbard, Ore.; and a sister, Mrs. Joe (Lorene) Reetz of Spokane, Wash.
