Andrew J. Gardner, who was born in Curtin township, Oct. 16, 1822, and when The frost come again he will have reached his 87th anniversary. Nearly 60 of these years have been spent in Howard borough. He enjoys The best of health, walks about The town visiting his friends in fine weather, works in his garden and is a regular attendant upon and active participant in The services of The church of his choice. He married Catherine P. Lucas, of this place, who passed to The other side some years ago, but who lived long enough to enjoy The golden anniversary of their wedding, 18 December 1899.[askeyologist.FTW]
