She married FRANK HOLBERT December 17, 1890 in Warwick, Orange County, NY, son of ALBERT HOLBERT and MAY WISNER. He was born August 10, 1865, and died October 18, 1942.

Notes for GRACE PELTON:
For many years Mr. Frank Holbert (Grace's Husband) had a jewelry store in Brooklyn. When he retired they made their home at Pelton Homestead in Orange County. The house was built in 1803.

In 1940 Mr. and Mrs. Holbert celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. In 1942, Mr. Holbert passed away. Her son and daughter, Almeda, live with Mrs. Holbert at Pelton Homestead.

Mrs. Frank Holbert (Grace Pelton) is a Daughter of the American Revolution, National No. 113940. She also is a member of the "Founders Chapter of the Daughters of the 17th Century. At the age of eighty-four she was a delegate in April 1952 at their annual meeting in Washington, D. C. She also attended the DAR National Congress and presented the DAR with several lovely museum pieces."

Nathaniel Knapp, Jr. (1753-87), served as private in Capt. Albert Pawling's company, Col. Morris Graham's Dutchess County regiment. He was born in Stamford, Conn.; died in Warwick, N. Y.

The Pelton home in Elk Rapids has been beautifully restored, remodeled and modernized by the current owners, who rescued the Pelton/Williams Bible from the trash heap and gave it to this compiler (Crowley, Scott)
in 1996.
