She was born August 01, 1885 in Browntown, Green County, WI, and died January 26, 1962 in Danbury, Burnett County, WI.

Notes for EARLE WAYNE PELTON, SR:
Earle moved from Nebraska in the early 1900's and started a sawmill company in Citronelle, AL. This was a very successful business until the great stock market crash in the 1920's at which time Earle lost everything. Shortly after that he moved to Beloit, Wisconsin. In the 1930's Earle moved to Danbury, WI.

Medical Information: Earle had a major stroke in the late 1950's, early 1960's. He spent several years in the Grantsburg, WI nursing home until his death.

Notes for JESSE MILDRED HOGANS:
Jess Mildred Hogans was born August 01, 1885 in Monroe, WI, to Jesse and Martha Hogans. At the age of 19, her family moved to Citronlle, Alabama, where on May 03, 1905, she was united in marriage to Earl W. Pelton. To this union seven children were born. They resided in Alabama until 1917 at which time they moved to Beloit, WI. They lived there until 1940, when they moved to the Danbury, WI community, where she lived until the time of her death.

Mrs. Pelton died at her home January 26, at the age of 76 years, four months, and 26 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers and a son, Leslie.

She is survived by her husband; four daughters; Mrs. Edwin Engen and Mrs. E. F. Burkhamer, both of Beloit; Mrs. James Ailport and Mrs. Alfred Garbe of Danbury; two sons; Clarence of Beloit and Earle Jr. of Danbury; 39 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Martha O'Brien of Beloit, WI and a brother, Henry Hogans of Evansville, WI.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 29 at 2:30pm at the Danbury Methodist church with Rev. Richard K. Pilgrim officiating. Selections by the choir were "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Beth Ingalls was at the organ. Casket bearers were; John, Harry, and William Ailport and Alfred Jr. and Gerald (Gary) Garbe and Robert Burkhamer. Interment was at the Danbury cemetery. The Swedberg funeral home at Webster, WI was in charge of arrangements.
