From RW pension application and land records that they moved to Culpepper Co. in 1748, sold that land in 1766 and moved to an area in NC that became Rockingham Co. before the regulation Battle wich was in 1771.

Benjamin Davis and Wife came from North Carolina to Ohio in a two horse wagon and settled at high bank of Paint Creek, Wayne Township, Fayette C Ohio. This country was very scarcely settled at this time. Indians was plentiful but they was civilized, not savages. They raised a family, my remembrance only extend to Grand Father Jacob Davis born in 1802 and sister Easter Davis. Aunt Easter married John Rew and settled close to Stanton about 7 miles west.

On 3/24/1855 appeared Young Stafford aged 63 received 80 acres of bounty land. Also served as substitute in Captain Conrad Flesher's Company of New York Militia from 3/12/1814 to 4/16/1814.
