My full name is John Bailey Garrett, i was born on the 7th May 1937 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, my mothers maiden name was Margaret Bailey, and my fathers Name was Thomas Alexander Garrett. Other surnames in the family history include - Gordon, Tanner, Andrews, Radcliff, Wilson, and many more. My Great Grandfather was born in Belfast about 1841, his name was Samuel Garrett, he was named after his father. He married a girl called Ellen Radcliff on the 3rd June 1864. They had nine of a family
which was the norm in those days, their names and dates of birth are as follows:

Samuel Garrett, B 8/1/1867,
John Garrett, B 30/12/1869,
Alexander Garrett, B 1/2/1872,
David Garrett, B 16/10/1874,
Margaret Garrett, B 1/5/1877,

Isaac Garrett, B 6/2/1882 & then
Ann Elizabeth Garrett B 1//1884.
Issac Garrett was my Grandfather he married Ellen Tanner on the 8/12/1901 in Belfast
I don't know what happened tp the rest of my Grandfathers brothers and sisters, thy may have left Belfast and went to the USA or Canada, or Austraial.
