OBITUARY
KEYSTONE PIONEER CAME TO AMERICA FROM ENGLAND
Keystone, 4 June.Funeral services for Henry S. davis, 83 of Keystone and Black Hills Pioneer who died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Floyd Flathers, are to be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Congregational Church.The Rev. E.J.Jerome Pipes, Rapid City was to officiate. Burial Services are to be held at the Keystone Cemetary.
Henry S. Davis was born at Kington, Herefordshire, England, 12 Dec. 1852.He came to America in 1872 and settled at Union Grove, Wisconson.He married Ida Wilford in 1878.Mrs. Davis died in 1893.
Henry S. Davis moved to the Black Hills in 1896 and married Lucy Pearl Grover, Keystone in 1910, who died in 1933, 21 July.
He is survived by three children; Hale Davis, Esmond, N.D., Mrs. Hazel Fritchen, Franksville, Wis.and Mrs. Ida Flathers of Keystone.A son Arthur died several years ago.There were also three stepchildren, Mrs. Hal Jackson, Whitewood, Francis Carter, Nevada City, California and Kernel Davis, Buffalo, Wyoming.There are nine grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of Behrens Mortuary, Rapid City.
