I have been researching my family history. My maternal grandparents were Ruby Smith and Hazel Dell Elam, both of Morgan County, KY.
My paternal grandparents are Clayton Earl Hammonds and Bertie Susan Watson, both of Morgan County Ky, Clayton Earl is a decendent of Phillip Hamman, Sr., who came to this country from Germany, and fought in the first battle of the Revoultionary War.
I have also researched my husbands family the Gastineau's who came to the US from France.
I am also researching the Peyton family of Morgan County and surronding counties, Western Peyton is one of the oldest members of the family that I know of, then the family of Delmon Peyton, his brother Billy Ray Peyton. I am very interested in finding out about this side of my family.
