The GASTWIRTH, GASWIRTH, GASWORTH Family is searching for a common ancestor. To date, we are able to trace back into the mid 1850's where we found Yizchak Gastwirth from whom all current family members seem to descend.Yizchak, we believe, may have had 2 or more wives. He also had at least 3 children - Usher, Kalman and Chaya. We tend to believe that there may have been more children and that some of the 3 children that we know about may have had more than 1 wife. Several family branches include changed family names such as Garfield, Gilboa and Hollander. We have a full website at http://www.gastwirth.com which is being used by current family members for correspondence and reunion planning. |
