I am currently researching several families. 1] Gottschall, Gattshall from Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida. 2] Garrison from Ohio and Florida. 3] Hartzog from Ohio. 4] Cooper and Denison (Dennison) families in Florida 5] Frizzell family North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and Florida 6] Futrell family in North Carolina and Kentucky I am able to prove the Gattshall branch back to Daniel Gottschall (Gattshall) DOB 1789 and Hannah Dunkelberger DOB 1799 beyond that point I have no personal documentation. The information that I have has come from other researchers of my family. Daniel moved from Pennsylvania (1850 Census) to Ohio in about 1822 (my ggggrandfather John Gattshall was born in Morrow County(Delaware), Ohio in 1824).	My Origins Updated July 21, 2002

Census enumerator spelled the name Gootshall. I have also seen the name on indexes as Toatshall. John Gattshall and Louisa Thomas Gattshall (96 KB) These documents were brought home from a family reunion in Indiana in the 1970's.
