The Kenninger/Tegeler Family History Page

Updated September 5, 2000

I have traced my father's father's line back to the Tegeler's in Wagenfeld Hanover, Prussia, Germany in the late 1800's and to the Otting/Pattmann family in Wetzchen, Germany around 1840.

My father's mother's line originated somewhere in England - surnames include Walker, Williams, and Campbell who settled in and around Johnson County Indiana.

On my mother's side, I have the Kenninger (Konninger, Koenninger) family traced back to Grossbottwar, Germany as far back as the 1600's. However I don't trust the accuracy of this information as it was researched by someone else on that side of the family and some of the dates are contradictory.

The Bollinger side of my mother's family is researched back to Henry Bollinger - born somewhere in Pennsylvania - and the Maars who came from Byrne, Germany.

I am having trouble finding information on Henry Bollinger and his children - the information I have has his son Harry P. Bollinger born in Youriksville (Younxville) Ohio in 1872. I can find no information on this town or any information on the Bollinger's in the 1880 census.

Any help or information is welcome. Please feel free to email me.
