He Who Learns, Teaches
Ancient African Proverb

Though we all must choose
our own paths in life
and the journey may sometime seem far,

If we learn from our
ancestors’ struggle and strife,
we will be better yet
than we are.

Our grandfathers etching
our history in stone
and grandmothers with
silken threads weaving,

Empowered us with
the will to be strong
and succeed if we
keep on believing.

Poem by Carole Joy Gellineau

Welcome to an effort to connect all Gelineau descendants to their ancestors and to each other. We have a family newsletter called "The Gelineau Jottings" and had family reunions in 1995 and 2000.
If you wish a copy of the Gelineau Jottings, contact Janet Gelineau Keating, our editor, @ TeDeum98@aol.com. We ask for an annual subscription fee of $10 US (price has gone up folks) to cover some of our costs. Join the fun! We are discovering every day what a great family we have. All we ask you to do is send me an email message with some info about your family.

Below you will find a new book entitled the Descendants of Elie Juiellineau. There you will find family descendants with the names of Gelineau, Gelinas, Jullineau, Jollineaux, Jollineau, Gelino,Gelinaud Bellemare, Lacourse and others. We are all one family though. Double click on the title and enjoy. This book was revised on 17 January 2000 and updating again should take place during 2005. Be sure to get your family information included.

I also hope to hear from you with any additions, changes, subtractions or corrections.
