The Andrew George Family has its origins in West Africa. About 1830 Andrew landed in Sauteurs, St Patrick's, Grenada, where he worked on a plantation and assumed the last name of the slave master and given Andrew as his first name. The Andrew George Family Tree was compiled by Cosmos N George. In August,1995, the first family reunion was held in St. Patrick's, Grenada. It was well attended by about 200 members who participated in a church service, family presentation, beach party and ancestral celebration in Black Forest( the first land owned by the George Family). The first version of the family tree poster was released. In 2003, the second version of the family tree was released during the family reunion which was held in Long Island, New Yprk, USA. It was fantastic with lots of people, food and fun. The updated family poster and George's Ten Commandments(see below) were released. The George Family Award was presented to 25 family members for upholding the principles of the George's Ten Commandments. Tree Guide The Family Tree is designed in an outline style. The numbers on the left of the names refer to the generation. Generation 1 is Andrew who came from Africa. Generation 2 is Francis, the only known child of Andrew. Generation 3 is the kids of Francis. They are the grand parents and are the branches for all other descendants. The branch changes when another generation 3 is encountered. The offspring of generation 3 is generation 4, which give rise to generation 5, which give rise to generation 6, and so on. The plus sign in front of a name indicates a spouse. This web site is created to facilitate communication between family members and thus further promote the success of the Andrew George Family. Excuse any errors.
