HOMAS NAUGHTON:
Thomas Naughton was an Irish catholic immigrant, coming to the US in the early 1840's. The 1850 census of Montgomery county shows him to be 29. Letters from his parents tell us that his father's name was Anthony and his mother was possibly Bridget. The letters come from county Westmeath.
His sister came over before him and married a man in Callaway county.

S H Cole of Lisenberry creek near Americus, age 75 years. Had been an invalid over a year. Born near Americus, never lived out of this country. Married twice, the second wife being Miss Harriett Kelsick, who survives him as do 7 children. Buried at Mt Horeb.

In the 1850 Missouri census, his brother William was residing in his household.

Member of Mt Horeb church. Leaves 5 brothers, a sister. Her mother, Mrs. Harriett Cole, preceeded her in death a few months. Funeral preached at Mt Horeb for both.
