Peck was his nick name, from the play "Peck's Bad Boy". He was a trader, horses, goats, cattle etc. He also worked in the log-woods. During the Depression he worked for the WPA, reworked Hiway O in Reynolds County. His mother spelled his name O(a)ther and called him Other, sometime the ER was dropped and an O was added.
When grandpa and grandma got married Doyle Santhuff and Essie Angel, wife of Rev. Bert Angel were their witnesses.
