Brewer[1st wife] on July 18, 1853⁷⁹. He married (2) *Martha Jane Wadlow [2nd wife] on June 19, 1859⁷⁹. He married (3) Maria Adeline Slade [3rd wife] on March 10, 1872⁷⁹, daughter of James Adkins Slade and Ellen K. Smith.

William Was a Baptist Minster called "Gospel Ranger", and founder of Redford Baptist Church, Redford, Missouri. He sold religious literature and Bibles to supplement his income. He preached 4 times on the weekends, on Saturdays he preached at 10:00 am and again in the evening, and twice on Sundays. His weekly wage was $1.30. He was a Charter Member of Odd Fellows Lodge of Lesterville and was also a Mason.
When William married Susan O. Brewer his father, Lewis Zachariah, gave them Slaves as a wedding gift.
