*Joseph Calvin Oliver (son of *Mathew Davis Oliver and *Elizabeth"Martha" Bradley)⁶⁷ was born October 20, 1845 in near Huntsville, Randolph County, Missouri⁶⁷, and died January 24, 1934 in Missouri⁶⁷. He married *Deliah Ann Elizabeth Cupp on 1866⁶⁷, daughter of *Claiborne Cupp and *Sarah Abner.

Joseph, when a boy, with parents, moved from Randolph County, Missouri to Schuyler County, Missouri and later to Clark County, Iowa, where he grew to manhood.
Joseph was a Book Agent in North Chariton County, Missouri, this is where he meet his future wife Deliah Cupp. After marrying in 1866, the couple moved to Iowa in 1870 and lived for 2 years. Then, the couple moved back to Missouri and spent the rest of their married life near Westville, Missouri. Joseph was a Mail Carrier for Westville Post Office. While a youth Joseph became a member of Primative Baptist Church and stayed active in Church the rest of his life. Joseph and Deliah were upstanding members of Chariton County. Joseph lived his final years with his son Claiborne. When Joseph died he was 88 yrs, 3 mos, 4 days old. At death, Joseph had 27 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren and 2 brothers still living, John T., and Jefferson D. of Montana.
Joseph is buried, with his wife Deliah, at the Stanley Cemetery, east of Westville.
