Family information on Claiborne:(wrote as written) Claiborne removed to Missouir shortly after birth. Settling 1st in the Forks of the Chariton River, then removing to the vicinity of Westville, Missouri, where made permament home. When Mexican war broke out, Isaac and brother and 2 sons, Claiborne and Simpson, enlisted at Levenworth, Kansas, in a Missouri regiment of Mounted Volunteers, going to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where they served under Sterling Price, till the close of war.
