William never married. In 1903 went west for 17 years, William spent time in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. Lived mostly in Montana, and around 1917 lived with Step-Aunt Rebecca "Reba" Hannah Clifton, farming. Also spent time in Gibbon, Oregon. In 1920 William returned to Missouri to be with aged parents, Joseph and Deliah. Became sick with asmtha and lived with sister Mada Oliver Linebaugh. Siblings living at William's death as follows:
Luther, Joseph"Tine", Alfonzo and Mada of Marceline, Missouri
Claiborne of Shelbina, Missouri
Lloyd of Castle Rock, Colorado
William was 68 yrs, 9 mos, 12 days old upon his death.
