The Ghareeb, Dabakey, and Missad families came to the United States from Lebanon circa 1890. The family history in the US is well documented, but little is known about the families' roots in Lebanon, especially that of Assad Dabakey. It is believed that Assad's father was Elias Dabaghi (the Lebanese spelling of the name) and that he may have had a brother and sister.It is also believed that Elias had three brothers. The primary branch of the Dabaghi family is in Marjayoun, Lebanon. I am looking for information about the roots of all these families in Lebanon. All three families came to the United States from Aitha el Fakhar, a small village in Eastern Lebanon.
