I am researching information relative to the following surnames: Giannini, Barsanti, Balestrino, and Facello. These were the surnames of my four grandparents. My paternal grandparents (Giannini and Barsanti) immigrated to Memphis, Tennesse from the area around Lucca, Italy (Tuscany) in the early twentieth century. My maternal grandfather (Balestrino) immigrated to Memphis, Tennessee from the Piedmont region of Italy in the early this century, as well. I believe that his father immigrated to the United States in the 19th century, but moved back to Italy before my grandfather was born. My maternal grandmother was born in Memphis, Tennesse in 1900 to immigrant parents from the Piedmont region of Italy. Any information you have concerning these families would be most welcome. I would be glad to reciprocate, if possible |
