About Our Family Research


I am continuing to build my ancestral tree for the Gibbs family of northeastern North Carolina. My branch of the Gibbs family originates in Hyde County, but eventually moved to Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City). My ultimate goal is to prove (or disprove) that we are related to John Gibbs, a member of the Lost Colony of Fort Raleigh, near Manteo, North Carolina.
