| As the 7th person in a row called "Peter", I had a son with Peter (8th) and his son is Peter (9th). He is brainwashed to have his son named (if any) Peter the 10th. Wow. Anyway, our most notorious common decendant, and most had lots and lots of kids, was Peter (4th) Miller Gideon, the great hortculturist of the mid 1800's in Excelsior, Minnesota. Of his many kids, my grandfather was Ansel Peter (5th) Gideon, who had my father Lester Peter (6th) Gideon. I put together a complete as far as we could family tree back as far as the mid 1700's to a Peter (we call the 1st) Heinrich Gideon from Bavaria who also had a son called Peter (the 2nd), also born in Bavaria. They came to America during the mid 1700's, and both served in the Revolutionary War. The elder Peter was killed; and the younger went on to create a very large family tree. The Tree also includes my first (deceased), second (deceased), and third wives' family background as far as we could go. They include Thomas, Hintz, Loustau, Duda, Micko, and others. Others included from my mother's side, the (Irish) Lynch's from the Bronx, and the (Irish) Gilbrides, from New York somewhere. I have cross-linked websites with photos and historical stuff, still under development of some pages. All sites are accessible through: http://www.gideon1.net/ |
