I am researching the GIGLIO family from Fairfield County, CT. Giovanni Giglio came to the U.S. as an Italian Merchant Marine around the turn of the century, from Palermo, Sicily. He married Maria DeStefano and they lived in New Haven, CT. They had many children and my line begins with Joseph Anthony Giglio.He married Mary Bitetto from Bari, Italy on November 25, 1932. Many family members are from the New Haven and Stamford area. I am also researching the BITETTO/LIVULPI lines. Mary's family came from Gravina and Bari, Italy. Her father Vincenzo Bitetto married Rosa Maria Livulpi and came to the U.S. in 1917. Another family line I am working on is SESSA, also from Fairfield County, CT. This family had origins in Norwalk, CT and also Stamford. Samuel Paul Sessa and Ermelinda (Mildred) Raffaele line. Specifically, I am looking for information pertaining to the GIGLIO/HEALEY or HEALY family from New Orleans, LA. John Giglio is the son of Thomas Giglio, who was the son of Giovanni Giglio and Maria DeStefano Giglio from Stamford, CT. Any information about this family and/or any of the family names above would be welcome and very much appreciated. Willing to share what information I have as well.
