We trace our roots back to our grandfather and great-grandfather Guiseppe Gigliotti and his family that came here from Italy, and those who remained. They came from the town of Sersale, in the province Catanzaro. Our Great-Great Giuseppe Gigliotti had a brother Giovanni (John) and three sisters: Sara, Michalina, and Angelina. He settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he owned a tailor shop. His brother John followed him and also settled in Philadephia. Sara and her husband then came and settled in Brooklyn. Michalina and Angelina remained in Italy. We understand that out Great-Great-Great Grandfather was a maestro in Italy.
