The Giles Family originated in Brantingham, East Riding of Yorkshire but William Giles the son of John Giles moved to London in the mid 1700s. In London they were associated with members of the Sandemanian sect with whom they intermarried: Barnard, Deeble, Faraday, Gastineau, Gray, Palmer, Proctor.
