The Porthouse Family Home Page

Hello, All! Welcome to the wacky world of Porthouse Family research. My family resided in Toledo, OH. until 1968, when we moved to the Tampa Bay area of Florida. My father's name was Harry Wright Porthouse (1918-1974). His parents were Harry Rutledge Porthouse and Mary Ernestine Wright. The Wrights were some of the founding fathers of Toledo OH and I am searching for info on this Branch. (Joseph, John, Walter) Also, I understand that there is a relationship somewhere to Wilbur and Orville Wright. Any information would be appreciated.
The Porthouses are also spread around Ontario, Canada and California. I am interested in finding these California cousins especially because I do remember my father's cousins, Frank and Dora Porthouse. I know we're related somewhere, folks, so come on out of the woodwork!
Other family names include Perks (Emma, married David Porthouse), Myers (Ernestine (Tina) married Joseph Wright)).

My parents, Harry and Marilyn, had 11 children: Harry Wm (NY, 2 married sons), Joe (FL, 2 daughters, 1 grand), Mary Linda (OH), Kyle(FL, son and daughter, both married), Richard (FL, 2 sons), Theresa (son and daughter, 1 grandson), Andrea (AL, 1 son), Lisa (FL, 2 sons 1 daughter), John (FL, 2 sons), Charles(FL 1 son) and last, but far,far from being least, Robert.
