I am researching the Ruch and Royle families from the Pennsylvania/New Jersey area,the Kirk Family from Iowa, the Gilbert Family from the Rhode Island/New England area, and the Montoya and Villalobos families from New Mexico/Northern Mexico. George Royle, Sr. was a textile manufacturer in the Frankfurt area of Philiadelphia during the turn of the century; he originally migrated from the Town of Mossely in England. His grandaughter Margaret Clawson Kirk left a wealth of research and primary source material for me to carry on the tradition with. Her father James Kirk, from Iowa, was an electrician in the Philiadelphia area until 1963 when he passed away. He married Sarah Royle, George's daughter, around 1916 and had one child Margaret Clawson. She married Harry Ruch of Elkins Park, PA around 1940. They had two children, Sarah and Douglas, Sarah has one child with Robert Gilbert, Andrew Robert (me), and then divorced. Douglas married Sarah Synesvedt; however, they had no children and Douglas passed away on March 3, 1997. Andrew Gilbert married Cecilia P. Montoya from New Mexico on August 29, 1992. They have one child Alexis. The fifth generation of George Royle, Sr. Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have. |
