The Gilmers of Pike County Arkansas

We are researching the Gilmer family, descendants of William Gilmer, born 1805 in Kentucky or North or South Carolina, and Dorcus Mansfield, born 1808 in Kentucky. William and Dorcus migrated with a relative of Dorcus, James C'horn Mansfield, from Logan Co, KY to Pike Co. AR circa 1833. The William Gilmer bible has provided most of the early family history. We are looking for William's and Dorcus' ancestors and any help would be appreciated.
