| Clyde (Buddy)& Barbara Gillespie where raised and married in Tulare/Visalia, California. Both sets of parents lived there as well. Barbara's folks came from Iowa. Clyde (Buddy's) folks came from Idaho. My father, Clyde E. Gillesie was born in Spray, Oregan. My mother, Marzell P. Wilson, was born in Castleford, Idaho. Her father, Lee Wilson was from Oklahoma. Grandpa Gillespie, John, was born in Moscow Oregan, having six sons, Zearl, Author, Clyde, Slim, Mike, and John. Two daughters, one died at birth, the other is Grace Lowe. Grandpa Gillespies' wife was Elva Martin, and her father was Permenious Colins Martin, son of Samuel Martin, son of Aaron Martin. Grandma Gillespies' mother was Phebe Davis, daughter of Levi Davis and Rebekah Lakey. Rebekah was the daughter of Jacob Lakey and Phoebe Bayles. I am looking for more information. Grandpa John Edward's father is George Charles Gillespie and his mother is Angeline Fidelia Jackson. |
