The Edson Gilmore and Nadine Miller Home PageUpdated September 5, 2000 | |
| We are researching the descendency of Capt Robert Gray's parents. Robert Gray is the person who discovered the Columbia River. He was born 10 May 1775 near Tiverton Rhode Island. We are primarily interested in his brother's descendency for two or three generations. We are also researching Ellsworth Miller, born 1831 (1900 New York census record) in French Canada. Our family records list his birth in 1838. His surname was Millyes and later changed to Miller. We are not sure whether his name was changed legally, or if he just started using Miller. His ancestry came from France. He emmigrated from French Canada to New York State in 1870. He married Louise Miranda Rivers 11 January 1873. He died in 1927 and is buried in the Theresa cemetery in Theresa New York. Any information you have would be appreciated. We are also willing to share the information we have. |
