I am researching my father's family (Gillespie) from Aberdeen and mother's (Reid) from Carnoustie, Scotland.
I also need to find the connection with George Low, famous Scottish golfer who emigrated to USA in 1899 and formed what became the PGA. He married my Granny's sister Helen (Nellie) and I have postcards from her amongst family photographs.
It is scary how many kids people had in 19th and early 20th century. I must have loads of 3rd/4th 5th cousins dotted all over Aberdeen and elsewhere.
