| I am currently researching the following surnames: Clough, Chamberlain, Gauthier, Buzzell, Gilligan Clough, John of Salisbury MA, who came over from England on the ship called the "Elizabeth" in the year 1635. He was born about 1613. He married Jane (last name unknown). Children:: Elizabeth, Martha, John, Samuel, Thomas, Sarah, and Mary who died young. I descend from Thomas's line. I am a member of the John Clough Geneological Society and the Societies Bulletin Editor. And I also belong to the CloughGenealogy-L rootsweb listing. Recently I have written a small book about the some Clough descendants. Please see my direct Outline Descendant tree. Chamberlain, Jacob, born about 1825/27 in Worcester County MA - either Holden or Millbury. Married Anne Hunting in Brattleboro Vt,on 8/6/1848 He was a Private in Company G, 13th Regiment Infantry NH Volunteers. He was in the battle of Fredericksburg, wounded on 12/13/1862,died on 11/4/1863 at Portsmouth VA., and is buried in Hampton VA. Children of Jacob & Ann are: Cryrus, Alfonso, Mary, Edward, and Ida Lenore. Ida Lenore married William Matoon Buzzell. Gauthier, Ludovic married Paulina Baird. Children: Agnes, Amelia, Leo, Adelaide, Anna, George, Evelyn, Philiour. Please see my Outline Descendants tree for a more up to date listing of the Gauthier line! When the death of the last of George and Cora's children, Marjorie occured, I was able to contact some long lost cousins. Marjorie had a sister named Aurilla, Wife of Wakefield LeClair. They had three daughters. Two years ago we had our very first "Cousin" reunion in Keene, NH.,for 3 days. Last summer we again met in Keene for a 9 day reunion! We made the local newspaper and were dubbed "The Straw Hat Posse" because we had identical outfits on - straw hats & bags, and matching tee shirts. We made quite a stir in the area no matter where we went. This year we plan on meeting at another cousins house in Ft Worth TX for the Christmas holidays. It will be our first Christmas together ever! Also researching the Buzzell line. George Charles Gauthier married Cora Gertrude Buzzell. You can view that direct Outline Descendants tree also. |
