Find Family

I am researching my family history. I am looking for information regarding the families of Joseph Crutchfield father of Thomas Crutchfield, father of Lue Crutchfield. They were a Cherokee family immigrating from Georgia probably in the early/mid 1800's. They settled in the Inola area of Indian Territory.

Lue's son Alf Leroy Crutchfield married Lois Imogene King in the Tiawah, Oklahoma area. Lois Imogene is the granddaughter of David Nichols Coker who is the son of Dempsey Fields Coker son of Joseph Dempsey Coker son of Buck Coker. The Coker family was one of the first white families that lived on the White River in Northwestern Arkansas in the early 1800's.

I am also researching my husband's family. We are looking for information regarding the families of Nicholas Gilles father of Joseph Gilles and Antone Weber father of Anna Marie Weber. The Weber family emmigrated from Coblenz, Prussia in 1842 on the ship NAVIGATOR. They arrived at the Port of New York and later settled in FonduLac County, Wisconsin.

Nicolas Gilles traveled with his two brothers John, Thomas and his uncle Paul and arrived in New York in June, 1846. They settled in Calumet, Fond du lac County, Wisconsin in 1850.

On this page are various links. Cokers are enumerated in Marion County, Arkansas. Grants - related to the Coker family - are identified back to Scotland in the 1700s.

There are links to Cherokee census indexes including Guion Miller and the Dawes Roll.

Tom Pick has transcribed dozens of towns in the Eifel Region of Germany (previously Prussia) and there are hundreds of individuals listed including lots of Gilles, Palms and others in this family.

Check these pages out if you're looking for Native Americans or German Catholics.
