On My MOM's Side: DAVOREN/CANAVAN/MURRAY/GAVIN/MCDONOUGH
Mary Canavan M Hugh Davoren in Moycullen (Magh Cuilinn), Co Galway. Hugh is reported to have said he was the 12th generation. I know of 4 brothers - 3 were priests James Michael and Peter. And one brother John Davoren who went out west. It is my understanding that the last Brehon law school in Co Clare was run by the O'Davorens. They had 11 children that I know of: Margaret (1871-1936), Kate, Michael, James, Mortimer, Annie, Delia, Julia, Mary, Sarah and Thomas.

Margaret Davoren M Patrick Gavin. They came to America and at the time of their deaths resided in South Boston Mass. Patrick was a prominent business man being co-owner of The Gavin Bros. Store. According to his obituary he was very active in the community. They had 11 children: William, Margaret, Hugh, Mortimer, Patrick, Martin, James, Mortimer, John, Joseph, and Mary (my grandmother). Mary Gavin M George Murray and they had 6 children. Starting with a set of twins; William and Mary (My Mother), Jeanne, James, Margaret, and Patricia.
Mary Teresa Murray married John James Gill. They had 6 children. Jean Marie 3/13/55,Susan Marie 11/10/56, Barbara Ann 2/11/60, Ellen Louise 6/4/62,Carol Anne 4/2/63,and Thomas John 1/26/66.
Jean works at Nasa in Texas, Susan married Robert Snow and they have 3 children: Vincent,Robert and Lisa. Barbara Lippa was married and has 2 daughters: Michele and Jessica. Ellen married Joseph DiCataldo and they have 2 children: Andrea and Philip. Carol married Paul Mangione and they also have 2 children: Christina and Peter. My baby brother Thomas married Lori Forte and they have 3 children: a set of twins Anthony and Michael and a daughter Kelly Nicole.
MY DAD's SIDE - GILL/TAYLOR/EVANS/DAVIS(DAVIES?)
Robert Gill Married Sarah Anne Taylor both were reported to have been born in York, England. They had 7 children: Richard(1891), William(1893), Emma(1894), Alice(1896), Robert Jr.(1899),Thomas (1901)and Elizabeth(1908). Thomas James Gill was my grandfather.
Joseph J Evans of Cardiff, Glamorganshire,Wales married Sarah Jane Davis of Pontypred, Monmouthshire,Wales. They had 9 children: William, Margaret, Beatrice,Rachel,Tommy, Edwin, Jimmy,Joseph and Blodwin. Blodwin was my grandmother.
Thomas James Gill was born 12/21/1901 in Olyphant,PA. and Blodwin Evans was born on 8/23/1903 in Eynon, PA. They met married and resided in Peckville, PA. until thier deaths. My grandfather was very active in the Volunteer Fire Dept and the Masons. We visited them at the same home place that my father was born in 312 Keystone Avenue which no longer is in the family having been sold with the passing of my grandmother. As a child I remember the big front open porch where I would sit with grandpa Gill in the rocking chairs. Diagonally left across the street was the Big Brick Fire House. My grandmother was equally active with the Red Cross and Eastern Star. Thomas and Blodwin Gill had 3 children: Raymond Thomas 1/19/26, John James 1/27/32 both deceased and Joan Merlyn 11/20/34. Joan Married Paul William Walworth,Jr and they had 2 children: Debora Sue and David. Deb married Paul Keith Alt and also had 2:Jeremy David and Bethann Lynn. Raymond married Gladys Fasceski. He had 3 girls. Donna Lee, Sally Ann and Sarah.
