I am researching the Sobiski's from Jednorozec, Poland. George and Mary came over in the late 1800's and eventually settled in or around the Cowansville/Kittanning, Pennsylvania area. I believe that George came over first and worked in Connecticut, before Mary arrived here. They had five children: Micheal Joseph, John Joseph, Mary Stella, Stanley Charles and Ida Barbara. I'm trying to find out information from Jednorozec, Poland and on their daughter Mary Stella. She married Frank Poharski and lived in Connecticut. She was born on December 6, 1889 and died between 1937-1938. I believe they had five children: Frank Jr., Agnes, Sophie, Joseph, and Henry. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am also willing to share the information I have collected over the past couple of years. I am the granddaughter of Ida Barbara Sobiski. |
