Euphemia Snethen (b. May 28, 1850, d. February 1937)

Euphemia Snethen⁵³⁰ was born May 28, 1850 in Montgomery County, Missouri, and died February 1937. She married Benjamin Alia Gililland on 1882, son of Robert GILILLAND and Anne MOORE.

Benjamin Alia died in 1896 at the age of 66. Euphemia stayed on at the farm until her four children had grown up. She then moved to St. Louis, where she died in 1937 at the age of 87.

All four of her children received a business college education, mostly financed by Euphemia who for a while operated a 12-room boarding house in St. Louis." Page 6
