BYRAM -- Massachusetts 1800-1850. TAYLOR -- Musquach, N.B. 1800-1900. SULLIVAN -- St. John's, Nfld. 1800-1920 RICHARD GILLIANS: I've got as far back as John Gillians in Hatfield,Hertfordshire England, m. to Elizabeth Andrews in Nov. 3, 1788 at Bishops Hatfield Parish Church, Hatfield Hert. His son, William, married Jane Tyler at North Mymms, Hert. on Jan. 13, 1817. I'm researching Gillians, Tyler, Andrews, and Davies, all in the same area of England. My maternal grandfather, Joseph Gore, was a homechild who was sent to Knowlton (Brome County), Quebec, Canada, approx. 1879. My maternal grandmother, Esther Elizabeth Pyle, born 1862 in Lambeth, London, England. She came to Canada as a nursemaid to a British officer's family in Halifax and was then moved to Montreal. She married my grandfather in Montreal in 1896. Anyone researching Homechildren, Brome County area, please contact me. Also would like information on my grandmother Pyle's family in London. |
