My interest in the descendents of Mathew Simpkin Youngblood is because I am one of them. My grandfather was his grandson. There is a story of his mother coming to Forsyth County, Georgia from Edgefield, South Carolina with him as a small boy and there was not a father with them. It has been "told" by many that she never married his father. Her name was Martha K. Turner. I don't know if that was her maiden name but Mathew is listed on all census as a Youngblood. Any information would be appreciated. |
