| This page represents a summary of over 30 years of research. I would like to hear from anyone interested in these families. Britton - settled in Massachusetts in the later 1600's, then in New Hamphire, Vermont, and New York, before moving further west. Gildehaus - immigrated to St. Louis, MO, from Osnabruck, Germany in the 1840's. Grant - Descendants of Robert Grant of Montgomery County, PA (1785), went to Virginia. Descendants went to Kentucky and Indiana. Phillips - Descendants of Roger Phillips of Somerset County, Maryland (1763) and Granville County, North Carolina. Descendants went to Tennessee. |
