2. DANIEL² MILLER (JACOB¹) was born 1710 in Germany, and died 1792 in Carter Co., Tennessee. He married ELIZABETH BEELER Abt. 1742.

Daniel Miller, also called David, appears in the N.C., Tennessee reco rds in
the early 1780's. In Nov., 1784, he appears in a record with John
Swarance. Daniel (David) held land on the Little Limestone in Washing ton
Co. Other names mentioned as living by Daniel Miller are Samuel Hains,
Aaron Burleson, John Pinson, George Brackley, and Joshua Green.
***Other record names as Samuel Fains (instead of Hains), Gerarde
Barley (instead of George Brackley), and introduce Henry Campbell.

An earlier transaction (Grant 43/600 acres on Oct. 23rd, 1780, in
Sullivan Co. Book 15/reel 1013322) shows Daniel Miller in a transacti on
with John Belor. Mentioned in the papers are Evan Shelby

Another citing shows Daniel granted 600 acres on Beaver Creek on Oct.
23rd, 1782. (B1-30). This was granted by the state of North Carolina.

On the 7th of March, Daniel Miller enters 300 acres on the north sid e of
Holston River on the waters of Sinking Creek, joining John Laughlen , John
Gilbert, and Col. Shelby. Joining my former entry. No. 264.

In Washington Co., Tennessee, on "The Entry Taker's Report", Daniel is
shown to have 300 acres in Sept. 16th of 1779. #1654. Also on this sa me
date are recorded the names of John Shelby, Joseph Bealor, Woollery
Bealor, John Bealer. Daniel is again listed for March 9th of 1780...# 264.

Elizabeth might be the daughter of Ulrich Beeler.
