The Russell Gingras family are descendants of Charles Gingras and Francoise Amiot who were married in Quebec on 5 November 1675. Russell Gingras, originally from Chicago, is the great-great grandson of Jean-Elie Gingras who built wooden sailing ships in Quebec from 1850 to 1880. We visited the family genealogist, Raymond Gingras, in Quebec in the summer of 1997 and saw the ancestral land of Charles Gingras and his descendants. We are interested in the Gingras family, particularly the line starting with Jean-Elie Gingras (1804 to 1891.) |
