The Timothy Jay Girven of Sugar Run Pa

This branch of the Girven family are direct decendants of Alexander Joseph Girven and Ann Junk. Alexander Girven immigrated from Scotland in the early 1800's .They eventually arrived on Dutch Mountain where they lived until the late 1800's and then moved to Wilmot Township in Bradford County.Fifth generation decendants of Alexander Girven still live and work in this township. As a matter of fact, they still live in the houses that would have belonged to Alexander Girven's grandson (Floyd Girven).
Although many of the decendants have scattered over the country, this branch for the most part remain in this area.
