* The Timothy Jay Girven of Sugar Run Pa*

Updated March 25, 2007

This branch of the Girven family are direct decendants of Alexander Joseph Girven and Ann Junk. Alexander Girven immigrated from Scotland in the early 1800's .They eventually arrived on Dutch Mountain where they lived until the late 1800's and then moved to Wilmot Township in Bradford County.Fifth generation decendants of Alexander Girven still live and work in this township. As a matter of fact, they still live in the houses that would have belonged to Alexander Girven's grandson (Floyd Girven).
Although many of the decendants have scattered over the country, this branch for the most part remain in this area.
If anyone is interested, the Girvens hold an annual family reunion the third weekend in August. We would be extremely happy to have you join us for this annual reunion. Please do not hesitate to contact us and we would be happy to provide you with directions on how to get here.
